1. How to teach Ss to master the usage of Past participle used as adverbial

2. Distinguish the usage of Past participle used as adverbial and Past participle used as attribute

a. Teach grammar in real situations

b. Learn grammar through practice

五, 教學(xué)步驟(teaching procedures)

Step I Word Study

1. This part is a consolidation of the words learnt in this unit. Ask the students to do the exercises independently.

Step II Preparation

Ask Ss to do some complete the sentences with words given, using the proper form. Ask them to find out two sentences from reading.

Step III Grammar

1. The Ss will learn the usages of P.P in different situations. First try to make clear to the students the different situations while using P.P as adverbial, with the help of step II. Then give them some examples.

Step IV Practise

Give Ss different training on the usage of P.P so as to consolidate their knowledge.

Step V P.P as attribute.

First make clear to the Ss the usage of P.P used as attribute, then through some exercises, help them to consolidate what they learnt.

Step VI Summary

Help Ss to find out the rules of this usage.
